While we expect most members to experience no difficulties with the preview version of the Juno software, Juno 3.0 is still being tested and developed, and it may contain program 'bugs' and other malfunctions that could adversely affect your use of or the performance of the Juno software. If you are currently using an older version of the Juno software, we do recommend that you make a backup copy of your saved mail before enrolling in the preview release and upgrading your software.

If you prefer to download the older version of the Juno software, version 2.0, click here.

If you want to download software onto a floppy disk, or if you are running Windows 3.0 or 3.1, you can download Juno version 1.49 by clicking here.

System Requirements
Please note our minimum system requirements: You'll need at least a 486 PC (Pentium recommended), 8MB of RAM, 25MB of free disk space, Windows® 95, Windows ® 98, Windows NT® 4.0, or later, a 9600-baud modem (14400-baud or faster recommended), and an SVGA monitor. We do not have either DOS or Macintosh versions of the software. (We do not currently plan to develop such versions.)

Downloading Instructions
The download should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on the speed of your connection. Depending on your browser configuration, a dialog box may appear asking whether you'd like to open the file or save it to disk; select "Save It to Disk." A dialog box will then ask you to choose a directory. You can choose any directory on your hard drive; we recommend that you choose "Desktop" to make the software easy to find once it's downloaded. (If you save it to "Desktop," an icon named "junoinst.exe" will appear on your Windows desktop.) Please note that the download will not fit onto a high-density floppy disk.

Once the download is completed:

  1. If you saved the file to "Desktop," close your Web browser and look on your Windows desktop for an icon labeled "junoinst.exe". Double-click on this icon.
  2. If you saved the file to a different location, click on the Windows® Start button and select "Find" and "Files or Folders" to find the drive and directory into which you downloaded the Juno software. Double-click on the file "junoinst.exe".
  3. Follow the installation instructions on the screen to install the software.

If you have any comments or questions about version 3.0, you can send feedback to preview3x@release.juno.com, or you can call the tollfree number (877) 586-6801.
